The pearl of Africa
The pearl of Africa is the name many people choose to call my beautiful country, Uganda. This is because the country is endowed with all of the features which are found on the rest of the continent, with one exception, the sand dunes in the desert.
To that extent the pearl of Africa experiences semi-arid conditions mostly in the northeastern part of the Country, for example Karamoja region which is famous for a multitude of different mineral resources and the infamous Kidepo National park which is rich in both nature and animals.
Uganda is blessed with a number of game reserves and ten national parks. The parks are interestingly and strategically distributed by mother nature in the different regions of the country. In the east we have the Mt Elgon national Park, in the north Murchison falls national park, in the central lake Mburo national park and in the west Bwindi Impenetrable national park. Every single national park has their own uniqueness and are worth a visit.
The pearl of Africa also hosts many different animals! Many people know that you can find the majestic Mountain Gorillas in Uganda, but besides them we also have chimpanzees baboons and many other species of monkeys! If you take a boat ride to some of the islands on lake Victoria, the worlds largest fresh water lake, you will be able to not only see the monkeys but other animals too! Uganda is really divers in animal culture and in addition to the known animals like elephants, lions and hippos one can also find about half of the worlds birds species here.
The pearl of Africa is a destination to come and explore! All are welcome to this beautiful destination which still has so much potential! There are so many places to be discovered, please COME ALL AND VISIT THE COUNTRY THAT IS GIFTED BY NATURE.
